Hours: 30 Hours per week

Location: County Durham

Duration: Fixed term until 30 June 2022

Reaching Out Across Durham (ROAD) is a Building Better Opportunities Programme funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund. Working in partnership with 7 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, ROAD will support long term unemployed people into or towards employment

The purpose of this role is to provide financial, employability and digital inclusion assistance to referred adults aged over 25 in County Durham. Referrals will be made by “Navigators” who are employability case workers for ROAD.

Lead Marketing Engagement Officer (ROAD)

Job title:                 Lead Marketing Engagement Officer (ROAD)

Salary:                    £22,500 per annum fully funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund

Hours:                     Full Time – 37 hours per week

Duration:              Fixed Term (to at least 31st October 2021)

Location:                Annfield Plain, Stanley, Durham, with extensive travel

Reaching Out Across Durham (ROAD) is an exciting employment and social inclusion programme in County Durham jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund. Working in hand-in-hand with 7 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial & digital inclusion, and volunteering, ROAD supports those aged over 25 and out of work in County Durham to address issues preventing them from entering employment.

About the role

We are looking to recruit someone who will work as a member of a dedicated Partnership team, who will be responsible for leading on and implementation of a range of Marketing Engagement related duties to support the ongoing requirements of the Programme. This will include assisting the Engagement Navigator with community and stakeholder engagement to both increase engagement with potential Participants and to promote the continual successes which the Programme achieves.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative and communication-based tasks, and will be required to work proactively with external project Partners, ensuring achievement of business deadlines and a high level of accuracy and quality

 This role is subject to a Basic Check through Disclosure Scotland

About you

We want someone like you who has significant experience of marketing with knowledge of developing and implementing communications strategies. Proven experience of dealing with the media including handling queries, writing press releases and generating positive media coverage is essential. Your role will require you to have excellent organisational and communications skills as well as having the ability to work as both part of a team, and on your own initiative
